I am a product of my history. I grew up building Legos, and I would never build what was on the box. I was always wanting to build something else. I grew up working in painting and construction with my father. I started building furniture when I made a console for my (then girlfriend) wife. When I came upon 36 old church pews while on a job at a church, I knew I could do something with them.
I define the word redemption as taking what "was", and making it into what "is". That's what I do with wood. I take the old and make it new. I take it a part, and put it back together in a new way. My goal is to create a visual representation of redemption. Because that is what God has done to me. This is why:
